Hi Tom

it's ALX, seems i do have problem with the cutting order...can you teach me how to?

I have ''Badge'' it is a 6 groups of object with 3 layers (cut-engrave-cut) and a total of 6 process numbers.

In SHOW PATH...it show me what i want...but in reality dosn't!

i would like to process thoses groups indiviudualy ...
Presently it goes from left to right buttom to top but not ONLY on ONE group ....it take the full job(6 groups) dosen't make process one after one.

Best regards

ALX

Hi Alex,
can you please send the file to me, let me check the setting of your file.
and why you need to cut one by one? it will take more time to finish a 6 groups.

Hi Alex,
1. if you only want to save time, finish 6 groups together is the fastest method.
2. but if you still want to cut it one by one, the RDWorksV8 can't do it perfectly.
we can engrave the group one by one first, after finish all the engraving job, the software will begin to cut groups one by one.

please follow the step:
1. don't tick "path optimize". (if you choose it, it will cover the manual settings automatically, and you must "download" the file to machine, then you can see the difference)
2. the layer should be engraver-cut-cut.
3. open the "scan" layer, tick "independent output". (it means that it will engrave a complete closed graphic)
4. open the cutting optimize handle, tick "order of layer", height is 30, and direction is left to right.
then check the "show path" on RDWorks.

Hi Tom
I did all that...in preview it give me almost what im looking for with a 5m26 estimate time compare to 14m55 if I try to do the job in only one group.

But when make a dry run (no laser) dosn't work like the preview. It engrave kind of one letter at the time...

Do you have a solution to be able to make happen the job like in the preview.

On my cnc router I use to work like that for many years without problems.

Best Regards

Hi Alx,
for example, when you preview it on software, the total time is 14:55, but this is not actual time.
How to check actual time?
1 "download" the file to machine, and I save its name is "file1".
2 select "doc", click "read", select "file1", click "cal time".
3 then you can see the actual time on the software.

you also can check only 1 group running actual time.
1 select only 1 group
2 tick "output select graphics"
3 "download" it again and run it.

Hi Tom

Thanks for the Q!

So if I understand right is won't be possible to run 1 group at the time when i do engraving?

The process no. will only work in cut mode? (In set cutting property management )

So for the small things I have right now (prototype for customer )meens it take ~2m07 in Cal. time for 1 Block and it will take~ 17m38 to do 6 of those (almost 1 more minute for each of them) :(

I try in [Output] □ Auto block /force Block but only generate a cutting action did not want to engrave.

Hi Alx,
auto block/force block is new function, I have to talk with another technical engineer.
I don't know why it only cut no engrave.
any news, I will let you know later.
