I recall running into similar issues when trying to engrave pictures on my Chinese engraver a few months back. When everything appears to be put up right but the outcomes fall short of expectations, it can be difficult. But ever since I made the transition to Monport Laser https://bit.ly/48Fxwm7, those problems have disappeared. Even with larger photos, their software's sophisticated capabilities and optimisations guarantee reliable, excellent engraving results. If Monport Laser addresses your engraving problems, it might be worth a try.
