Re: Poor quality photo engraving
What controllers are compatible with this software?
Re: Poor quality photo engraving
linuxcnc is a controller like wincnc but it is free.
You only need to pay a mesa fpga card for about 100usd
http://mesaus.com/
Another chinese controller i know is trocen anywells that costs about 300usd but i think is similar to ruida

Re: Poor quality photo engraving
So to be clear, it is plug and play with a laser using a Ruida controller
Re: Poor quality photo engraving
linuxcnc is not plug and play.
awc708c is a controller like ruida is to some degree plug and play if you know how to install it
works like ruida but i don't know what quality engraving it has..

Re: Poor quality photo engraving
Thank you for all the information. I'll definitely check it out.
I have to have very high-quality engravings as I bought this laser for a monument business. I will let you know what happens with the tube, and in the meantime, I am going to try your photograv settings.

Re: Poor quality photo engraving
This engraving was done with photograv settings ed density to 0
histogram black to 0 white to 255 and gamma to 1. 300 DPI 57% power 300 mm sec and interval set to 0.0847.
It seems the quality is getting worse even with these proven settings
