Hi guys,
I have checked all slack, pulleys, belts etc, but i still cant get laser cuts start and finish to meet in the same line.
I was wanting to know if this is a mechanical issue or software settings issue.

Definitely a mechanical issue. Maybe the entire stage is crooked? Also the belts on both sides need to be the same tension in a stage like this. If not, then your carriage will be twisted slightly which will cause this.
Try marking a line on wood the entire length of the stage and then check to see if it is straight by measuring to the edge along the length. You could also try marking two lines one going in each direction.
It is also possibly an optical alignment issue. If the beam is off center enough, it will change position as it moves further away from the 2nd mirror.

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
The machine table/gantry is 100% square and level.
I just tried this morning the 60watt (this machine is dual 60w & 130w) and the cut ends meet.
130w is currently setup with harddiskdrive mirrors, so i guess i will just have to wait till i get the new mirrors i ordered and see what happens then.

There is pole down of X Y table. Loose that and then tight.
