Hi, PLEASE HELP !!, I have a small laser engraver/ cutter and have installed all the software etc. The newly draw software and drivers are installed but when I go to engrave something I get an error message linkout error 5. The chrome part might be a problem. Its reflective to the laser beam. Some types of plastics will do fine, others will not. PVC is a no no because of the chorine which is deadly and corrosive. The high-school electronics lab I student-teach at has just purchased a Full Spectrum Laser engraver/cutter. I believe it came in around $5500 with some options.

Haven't tried it yet, but based on other teacher's recommendations it is top-notch for support and quality.

Fixtureman is correct just engrave what ever material you choose just like you were making a rubber stamp, wood, acrylic what ever, derlin works well for this also.
