I'm pretty happy with the machine that after some adjustment is working. With Acrilic and wood work perfect, but I need to engrave &qu...

Re: Need Some Advice On Adding A Laser To A CNC Plasma Cutter
The main issues of monting the tube directly is weight. If you consider the water cooling you can get over the 2kg mark quite easy - this would require changes or at least tweaking of settings unless the machine itself is already a bit overpowered for the normal CNC operations. I the tube is located...

Re: PWM frequency, power levels and 2.5D wood engravings
Played around a bit more and there is a relation betwen PWM frequency and wether wood is burnt or vaporised. So for 2.5D engravings it pays off to create a mask just for the all-black areas and to vaporise them first with one or more passes. After that the maskis reversed and the other shades are do...

Re: Laser cuttering on Acrylic alloy/Pvc

Engraving lightly might be OK, but I personally would pass on this material.....if I did wish to pursue, I'd find something like maybe cheap unpainted steel (paint can lid maybe) and put it in the way of your exhaust....if i...

Re: How to cut foam?
You want to use a fast speed and air assist (for optimum performance you should look at using Nitrogen but it probably isn't necessary).

Re: s&a cw-5200 chiller
Would a chiller like this work to cool glycol from 200F (93C) down to 75F (23.8C)? do you know what the GPM or Litres per minute capacity it has? Goal - cool 31 gallons of beer down as quickly as possible. Glycol would be used with a heat exchanger.
