I am new to this forum, so please be patient with me
I am having a lot of difficulty when it comes to engraving stainless steel. I must mention that I have a brightstar 35w laser and I am using Cermark spray. It started with those dreadful Yeti cups. Some turned out perfect. Others washed right off. The next venture was stainless steel knives. The first side-perfect. Flipped them over to do another design and that side washed right off.
I've tried at all different speeds and powers at 5% increments.
I've replaced the mirrors and the lenses
The machine is focused
There is no reason for me to believe that the tube is going bad. It still marks wood in perfect detail.
Nothing explains why I can have 5 of the exact same cup, exact same logo design, exact same amount of cermark...some work perfectly, some wash right off. It's quite frustrating considering I have an order of over 500 cups and 100 knives that I must get completed! Otherwise, I guess my company is paying out of pocket for replacements.
Any advise you guys can offer is greatly appreciated!!
