Hi

I'm looking at Banggood Desktop Engraver 5500mW A3 30x40cm model. This is for a hobbyist. I would like to do some engraving and cutting light weight materials. Is the 5500mW machine too large for these simple items or is it best to go large just in case I want to do more in the future?

Does anyone have any experience with these machines? I see the same machine on different websites with different brand names.

Thanks
Greg

Such a Banggood Desktop Engraver is simply a combination of simple machines.5500mw can't cutting anything. If you are going to be mainly engraving, you can chosen.

5500mW rated ( I don't know the actual power output) can cut paper, cardstock, and cardboard, but can't even begin to CUT wood, only engrave it. Don't plan on being able to cut any wood except the thinnest balsa wood with a diode laser.
I think the prices of the items you linked to that you don't want to spend too much money. But your ideas are unsuited to the business environment.
