Laser white light

Hello,
My CO2 safety glasses are on when operating my CO2 laser while cutting wood. During the job, it produces a white light when its cutting wood. Is the white light harmful to the eyes? At this point I do have my CO2 safety glasses on. If yes how can I protect my eyes from the white light?
