Bought my first cheapy chinese engraver and loving the learning curve. Was originally flashed for benbox, but have since reflashed it for Eleksmaker CAM and so far cutting well!
Im primarily wanting to cut ripstop fabrics with my 250mW laser (which is also working well) but at this stage, I have to export the shapes to cut as a huge b/w BMP image to import into Eleksmaker Cam to trace an outline to, and then bodgey the dimensions.
Is there any solution out there to take a DXF/STL/SVG style vector file from a cad/illustrator program to cut dimensionally perfect with these crazy toys?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes. Illustrator or coreldraw can do it.

You need ungroup curve in the illustrator. Sometime ai files no friendly to laser cutter. And you can translate to dxf into laser
