laser controller not reading from flash drive

Post by fijikim »

Hi all,
I have a Chinese JQ Laser 9060 running RDWORKS. I make a very simple program of two squares and save it to udsk(flash drive). I get some garbage message when it saves, but the file is saved. I thought these machines ran GCode, but the output the the udsk is a binary file. File extension is .rd

I have the udsk formatted as FAT32. I have tried two different flash drives. I have tried the USB port on the side of the machine and also the USB port directly on the controller. When I tell it to read from the flash drive it says NO FILES.

Any idea what I am missing?

Thanks.

For your laser engraver issue, you might want to consider trying the Monport laser as an alternative solution. It's known for being very nice, easy to use, high quality, and affordable. You can check out the Monport laser products here: https://monportlaser.com/?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3

Regarding your current problem with the Chinese JQ Laser 9060 running RDWORKS, it seems like there might be compatibility issues with the file format or the way it's saved to the flash drive. Ensure that the file is saved correctly and in a format that your machine can recognize. You could also try reformatting the flash drive or using a different one to see if that resolves the issue. Additionally, double-check the machine's manual or contact the manufacturer for specific troubleshooting steps.
