Hello there!
We tried to cut 3mm Acrylic mirror sheet.
And, the cutting side is rough.
(I am attaching a photo.)
And, it is odd because the problem does not happen to all the side.
We cut a circle(R 70mm) for the test.
And, only some part has a rough edge.
We aligned all the mirrors and the cutting bed.
Focus distance also has been checked.
Please, let me know how to solve the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Re: rough cutting edge
Hi Young,
Please close the air pump when you cut acrylic. the result will be different.

Hi!
Thank you for your quick reply.
You mean to unplug the air pump during the cutting?
Is it safe cutting the material without air assistance?
I hear that without air assistance harms the focus lens.
The ruler I was provided from your company has very nice cutting edge.
Can I know what you do after cutting the acrylic sheet by the laser?
(Such as polishing the cutting surface or sand the edge.)
Or, do I need a higher power machine to have that kind of edge in the ruler?
Thanks in advance.

Re: rough cutting edge
1. How thick of your acrylic, and the power of your laser tube?
2. Yes, unplug the air pump, and remember to clean the focus lenses everyday.
3. we don't use air pump when cut acrylic, it will make result better.
You can try it first. (Don't leave your machine when the machine is working)
