sending big files to laser---20160715

Post by electracks »

I am not able to engrave a 20x30cm picture. I always get errors like
"Quit Processing" when I press Start in RDWorks or when I use the
download function I get "File download failed". When I try to save as
UFile it gets a file handle error. When I do not change the picture to a
net graphic it works after 3-5 tries of pressing "download" then it says
"File download success". How can I engrave this?

I found out in the mean time that the locally saved UFiles are working when I give them to the laser via USB Stick.
Smaller files without engraving can be sent to the laser by Ethernet without problems. When the files are bigger only parts of the files reach the printer and I get the "Quit processing" warning. I have a chance using the download function when the files is not even too big for that. Is there a file size limit? My UFiles have 12MB or 8MB or 6MB depending on the resolution of the engraving.

Hi Electracks
It looks like you did testing using many ways but it's still not working for your file
So maybe the issue was caused by the file that is too big,
And yeah, is there exist a file size limit, if it's too big, the software will not recognize it
Could you please send your file to me for checking using email?
Just sending it to Tech@thunderlaser.com, and i will try to downloading though my laser.ok?
Then i will reply you how it works later
And one more thing, do sending file via ethernet cable will be reliable.

Waiting for your reply

Hi Electracks
For sending big files to laser, line transmission need more time, and it maybe fail at middle time by bad contact.
Choosing the USB stick would be better for big files.
