Re: 40W Chinese Laser not cutting quite right
>> I do not have the earthing ground hooked to anything. I did look at the wiring inside the control panel and coming off the 3 pin power plug are red, black and yellow wires. The yellow wires are also tied to the earthing pin so, being as I live in Texas I figured it should be adequately grounded o...

Re: 40W Chinese Laser not cutting quite right
Place a piece of paper over the first mirror, the one by the laser. I use sticky notes, which stick to the frame but do not gum up the mirror. Set the laser power to about 20 percent. Hit the Test button for a very short burst. It should burn a real hole in that paper (at least my 40-watt Chinese la...

Re: K40 left-right motion is jerky

I made pencil marks on the four tiny bearings that support the laser head transport at its four corners. The locking happens at exactly the same spot ...

K40 left-right motion is jerky
Hi all. I just bought a 40-watt Chinese laser and am setting it up. It arrived in apparently great condition, with nothing obviously broken, bent, or missing. The laser tube works, and the software seems to have installed correctly. But when I manually slide the head left or right, it runs smoothly ...

Re: INTRODUCE YOURSELF
My name is Tim, and I am a long-time maker. I just bought a Chinese 40-watt laser. I've been poking around you-tube and there's some decent tutorial stuff there, but I'm hoping to find a grouo where I can post questions as I learn, and then answer some questions once I've found my way. In the (perha...
